>>5747876>>5747925>>5748058I'm not even telling anyone to stop giving critique, but in my case I'm learning to be more selfish. Because my charity, in retrospect, was a form of procrastination. I felt good for seeing other people progress, but never progressed myself.
Ideally. stick around communities, give advice only when you think it's valuable and try to find some reciprocity.
Give and take, not just give, give, give.
This advice, I believe, is for a minority of people, as most tend to be takers by nature. My parents raised me too kind for a competitive world.
>>5748206>>5748208Thanks, anons. I type at around 120 wpm (despite not using my pinkies), but, more importantly, structuring my thoughts in text form has become second nature, so I can write in a (hopefully) easy-to-digest way.
One thing all this Internet-critiquing did was raise my critical eye 100 times higher than my drawing skills before I even began, so pic related is what happened once I started to make an effort and I've never had an "Art High" in my life.
