Take it slow; it's grueling, especially at first, rejoice for the small successes: they will grow over time. Learning to draw is as hard as learning a (really) foreign language, a musical instrument, you have to learn to take it slow.

>>5745375 is real, but yes, the idea of being free, independent, not forced to be a deskperson moving air from a room to another, is just great, liberating. Perhaps setting that as a goal can help; try to setup some decent standard for yourself, like, avoiding the coom road.
Even better if you can find one or two (real, non-Internet) people that have the same mindset, not necessarily with art, and whom you could spend a few evenings with every week. Emulation can help, but people that have such will & discipline are hard to come by.
