alright this can make sense if you make objective crits but "something something drab and dead" is so subjective depending on if you like bright and vivid, cartoony colours or more realistic tones
idk man I think I'm being cynical and judgemental over others being cynical and judgemental but let's try to be constructive
if you were to improve his stuff to add more appeal, what would you change?

I like his stuff, but I agree. Most of his pictures use warm colors. I'd like to see more with the dark blue and purples

he is popular because at his prime he posted drawings almost every day, there are plenty of artists who can achieve this amount of quality and detail, but only few of them are this efficient and productive, you win social media game through quantity
if your his art not to your tastes then it's your own problem, promote or commission artists you like instead (or even better, learn how to draw already)

yeah I get that it’s just a subjective/style thing, but I put some of his art in a photo editor and upped the saturation a bit and it immediately looked more appealing to me. So making his color choices a bit more vibrant and less like its a cloudy day outside would bean improvement imo.
