The reason some people are anti-porn - at least that's my case - is the oversaturation.
I don't mind people drawing porn, but any community that doesn't strictly separate it gets flooded with porn flavor of the month, and even the ones that have NSFW channels separate for this content are in jeopardy if the coomer population is too high, as the SFW sections too become nothing but sexy pinup circlejerking.
As someone who draws in manga style, this is doubly so, as 99% weebs seem to be indomitable coomers.
I understand why some communities are dedicated to "not-anime", they have to create these cultural bubbles in order to preserve a modicum of like-mindedness.
I have participated in no-anime servers posting only more realistic works and that worked great.

I stay on 4chan-derived groups to avoid stepping on eggshells all the time, but it's not enough, you WILL find anti "hate speech" rules on 50% of groups from here and some will actually enforce it. Hell, there are anti-piracy rules on most of these, pathetic.
I like to just perform the nigger test: search for the word nigger in the server and see if someone has said it. If you find any results, look if it caused any drama/user got banned.
If you can't find the word, that's a yellow flag. Try other offensive words, from faggot to retarded, which is a very common one. If no one bats an eye at "retarded", that is a start, but tread lightly.
