In the time that he was developing as a young artist, the resources you all take for granted would have moonshot him skill-wise. Look for local made art from the 90s era just before the internet and he's leagues beyond what your average art for retirement amateur would end up with. What most people don't consider is the lack of artistic influence in his life and the conditions that Germany was experiencing during this time. His 'artistic support system' was a shadow of even this proudly misinformed shithole. He kept painting even after becoming a 'politician' and if he wasn't too busy destroying his nation's gene pool in a dysgenic hellfire, he would have been a fine but forgettable artist.
In contrast Egon had every single advantage since early childhood and squandered those advantages every single time. As a child Schiele was groomed to be exactly the fine artist that hitler had wanted to be without any of the effort or appreciation for the incredible opportunities afforded to him. He even worked as an assistant to klimpt. Despite all those advantages, Schiele become a sexual predator, raping his sister in his teenage years and later, neighborhood children. While he should have been euthanized in 1912, he died of flu in 1918.
Schule is the better artist by (suspect) commercial standards, but he's no better a person than Hitler and arguably worse. His distain for all his earthly advantages alone should disgust most of you actually trying to improve yourselves.
Now if you guys want a proper German artist of the period, go with Otto Dix.
