My resting state art (art done out of the blue without much prior practice during the day or during previous days) is garbage. In fact when I draw I have no desire to draw anything in particular. No pose, no expression, nothing. It feels like a meaningless moving of my hand. It's both technically ugly and has no soul (they look like broken manequins with empty eyes.)

Is this normal? When I draw a lot more and really get into it I can start naturally coming up with better things that have some intention and skill, but it takes a long time to get going.
