I see no thread on the board for this, so I figured I would make it.

---------------------

to start it off, im looking at dicking around with ink, pencil, and watercolor.

so i'm considering getting some watercolor pencils, a decent variety of color mixed with not needing to mix every variant I want, along with being able to use them as cake sticks kind of makes them versatile for me. anyone have an opinion on tube vs cake vs pencil for an absolute beginner who wants to dick around?

on the topic of paint, I want to get a set of watercolor brushes and then a set of VERY fine brushes/mini brushes. want to get these from ali because realistically these are dicking around supplies, and im not paying enough for top quality brand, so why not cut out the middle man, anyone got experience/opinions on these? these would be used both for watercolor and for ink brushing.

and lastly, I want to get a bulk supply og 2mm clutch and 5.6mm clutch pencils and associated hardnesses of lead. im planning on buying the clutches from china, due to my current china tier 2.0 being fantastic feeling. anyone got recommendations on pencil bodies? in terms of lead, im looking for everything from the high h to the high b, I have use for all of them though I don't need every h or b, anyone know of any packs of lead that I can get for this? otherwise ill likely get that from china as well. and one more thing, are there any charcoal leads that are cheap? I only see them in prices of near 20$ for 5 and every review is they all come shattered. I kind of want charcoal s/m/h, the sepia colors, and white.
