Photoshop. Latest version u can find. Clip Studio can work but if you're serious about it u'll have to learn PS anyways.

Photoshop can do more things
Sai is easier to use
CSP is like photoshop but more art oriented
It depends, if you're trying to join the industry you need to learn how to use photoshop, if you just want to make sketches or simple paintings use sai. If you want to make comics use CSP.

This, IMO. Digital art is more than just your brush. The tools available in Photoshop CC are either missing or clunky in other most programs. Photoshop is definitely the way to go if you're serious about digital art, and performance and QoL features are better than ever in the current PS CC (especially when compared to CS6).

Which tools are missing or clunky in CSP? Alignment tools, liquify, layer styles, yes. Text is a little clunkier. Dual brush has yet to arrive, but for me personally, other brush settings in CSP make up for it tenfold. Other than that, for illustration, I only see strong pluses in CSP. I pay for both, hardly ever use PS any longer.
