The main difference is that it went from tasteful stylization and simplification (eyes have individual lashes, there are nostrils where needed, lips are defined, simplified but clear anatomy, shadows to support the anatomy) to straight up cartoons with emojis for faces.
When the old guys wanted to show a girl's body they went with IRL 80s beauty standards and used more or less realistic proportions, when the new guys try to draw anatomy to make a titillating woman they seem to have no sense for female beauty.
It probably ties to what Miyazaki said about otaku who fail to draw people because they don't look at people.
