The original name was Biblebots, and it was about christian youths who fought evil with robots blessed by God. Mainstream western networks wouldn't pick it up because it was to religious, and christian networks wouldn't pick it up because it was too violent. Eventually I got in contact with a Japanese studio by the name of Gainax and negotiations were made. I sold them the rights and they changed a bunch of stuff. The religious symbolism stayed for some reason, I guess they thought it looked cool.
