The smartest thing DC has done recently was try to get in on the zoomer filmbro action with Joker and The Batman. Dune was not perfect, but the mainstream discussion around it showed that the MCU pushback can be capitalized on. Just get an artsy director and make standalone stuff. They should get Eggers to do a Flash or something.
