Miles is not massively popular, but when people think of the secondary Spider-Man, they think of him, not Ben "fucking who" Reily.

Unironically this and Marvel is done pushing Ben and the Clone Saga for Peter. It's not like Ben came out of nowhere recently and was set up for failure. Ben and the Clone Saga were brought back and pushed by Marvel. It didn't stick. Even Kaine didn't do that well. So Marvel just stopped caring about pushing Peter's clones. That's why Ben is Chasm and Kaine is in limbo.

The problem is that Ben was a replacement for Peter and has served his purpose in role, life and concept. Kaine on the other hand has always been his own character because he was specifically not supposed to be Peter or Spider-Man. Kaine is his own person and I did like the concept of Kaine learning to do so and taking on the Scarlet Spider name to remember his fallen brother. The problem is the fucker in charge of Spider-Man, Ben should remain dead. And because of the bullshit revolving around Ben I'm sure everyone who gives half a shit about Kaine is absolutely terrified to bring him up because of the possibility that they are forced to kill Kaine or revert him back to when he was dying from cellular degeneration
