You can make maybe semi decent, professional illustrations after 10 or 15 years of dedicated hard work (maybe), but there will always be some Korean teenager who can blow you out of the water with photo realistic renderings drawn from memory.
I'm not gonna bother explaining, because people like you are delusional, you're completely unaware of how the human mind works, how decision making is influenced by childhood experiences, how easily a person is changed by their environment, something they cannot rationalize or control.
The thing about the Nature Vs Nurture debate is that regardless of which one has the greatest influence over the mind, both are completely out of your control for the first decade and a half of your life.
Even if it was possible to simply practice a ton and be great at drawing, wouldn't everyone do it? and if somebody chose not to do it, wouldn't that mean they can't do it?
Isn't there something influencing their decision, in a way choice is the first obstacle, but hardly the last.
