Maybe they didn't want to compete with their own Jurassic Park toys? took until Neo to do a full team of dinosaur Preds. fuzor Preds were all half-bug/reptiles(with one fish) and TM2s were all either bugs or modern reptiles.
I actually did love the insect Preds too. They're basically big, articulated bugs and you could creep your sisters and moms out(actually maybe thats why, moms refused to buy them for their kids)
