Any examples of this actually happening that aren't just glorified or just straight-up porn?
People are easy to criticize writers for shiting up a popular franchise after certain seasons/arcs/issues/whatever, but from what I've been reading lately in fan stories or comics, no one has come close to doing better or, at the very least, just as interesting as the source material.
I'm specifically talking about Legend of Korra in this example, but I'm sure this is also true for whatever other series you might think of
