Should I be surprised seeing /co/ praising some well choreographed Kung fu scenes surrounded by essentially six Rick and Morty episodes mashed together. And about eight jokes that are just “what if there was a sex toy.” With some pop-absurdism and "emotional" beats ala your typical ham-fisted blockbuster.
If your plot mechanic is 'multiverse' you're basically saying you are too good to write a fucking story. From avengers to latest spiderman - just completely braindead.
Certain "people" praise traveling/alternate reality movies as SO FLIPPIN MINDBLOWING they'll inflate it to God status (Inception). Half the ratings are hysteric about how this was so profound, had them cry laughing and cry sobbing, how it's the best film they've ever seen, that they're demarcating their life into before and after watching it and how it helped them work through their childhood/immigrant/gay/existential trauma, all over a dime a dozen Sundance core.

If you like this movie, this shithole is truly gone
