Anyways, Jacob basically challenged this divine being to a physical brawl for his blessing (which in hindsight was totally worth it, it was THE blessing if you think about it). The spirit complied and apparently Jacob was dedicated enough to wrestle for an entire night until God said enough and destroyed his hip with a single touch of his finger.
