What was the point of Wonder Comics and Young Animal? Why make imprints if you're just going to print stuff that could have gone under the regular DC label?

I disagree. Is MCR really that popular anymore? As for Bendis, he’s only know for his older work, so why an imprint run by him generate hype?

each was so a person could oversee their own line, like a semi-editor but really more just and overseer. Gerard Way was in charge of Young Animals and Bendis was in charge of Wonder Comics.

The appeal of these pop up imprints is supposed to be the curator. You check out Young Animal because you're interested in what Way would do with. Wonder Comics was supposed to be about people wanting to see where Bendis would take DC characters, but execs didn't understand Bendis was past his prime and despised.
