The badness of Johhny Test is actually really overstated. It's so damn generic that even at its worst it still feels easy to ignore. It's not SUPER gross and the jokes are so safe/rehashed that they never feel like true duds.

During its first season I think it fit in with Kids WB's other shows pretty well.
