Deacon blackfire as a cult leader Ala Arkham games.
The movie would present him as a mysterious figure, with his mystical backstory portrayed throughout the story but never as a flashback scene.
That way even until the end, it's up to the viewer to decide whether he really has magic powers or is just a really good conman.

I always felt a Ghostface style villain would work well for Batman. The original one would die in his first appeareance and then copycats in similiar outfits would emerge, but with their own gimmicks based on their predispositions and abilities

He was. He's at the very end behind a cell door. You can tell it's the deleted scene design though. You can see his fucked up hair & exposed teeth.

I actually do like how fucked up he looks, but a real performance has yet to be seen, we can only assume based off the deleted scene and what we see of him in the end and yeah it does just feel like a Ledgers Joker attempt
