I meant they were killing off the old Matt Ryan character to make way for a new Constantine actor. Doing it in an animated movie just feels like an insult.

They already wrote Constantine out on LoT and have Matt Ryan playing another character. Legends, this, and the HBO Max show have nothing to do with one another.
