He's kind of meh now but in the 2000s and 2010s he was one of the best. He's a better editor is seems, seeing as he was the architect for Rebirth.

Green Lantern Corps is the best part of the event so if you get that then you should get the GLC trade as well. There's also some minis that range from okay to good.

Personally the main issues, Green Lantern, and Green Lantern Corps are the ones to get. Anything else is fine but it's just more of what's going on during the event. If you're okay getting that one then it's good to get it all in one. Otherwise I'd say get the trades for the event, Green Lantern's Blackest Night trade, and the trade for GLC.

Yes.
He understands comic book pacing, and building up to events, and pulling of 'fuck ya moments'
Also really solid at writing rivalries, and relationships.
No one else is as good at reusing Alan Moore's ideas, and his retcons are usually very solid.

Probably one of the better writers in the industry today. Even if he clearly peaked during the middle of his Green Lantern run.

Blackest Night is easily one of the best crossover events ever, and might objectively be the best.
Plus the book has 1600+ pages in it, so you're getting your money's worth.

Doomsday Clock clearly was handicapped by Dan Didio.
Three Jokers works well enough as an out of continuity story. Which it will be treated as, three decades from now.
