Sometimes they show the future, but since they don't want to commit themselves to a specific story trajectory, it's always just a "possible" future. Beyond might happen. TDKR might happen. Kingdom Come might happen.
The future is only definite when it's far enough away that it doesn't really constrain story options for the present. Like LOSH. And even then, how many times has LOSH been rebooted?
They did do a Batman Beyond series that they stressed took place on Earth-0 instead of Earth-12. I can barely remember, but I think that's the one where Tim Drake becomes Batman after Terry for some reason.
