I've also always loved when he has been portrayed with a sort of duality to him, where he genuinely care for the people working at his lounge, and can be a very pleasant man to be around when he is happy, or you're on his good side, but be extremely petty and complete monster if you get on his wrong side, or he just perceives you as having wronged him in some way.
