I watched all of these last year so they're fairly fresh in my head. I had seen the original trilogy as a kid, but the new movies were first-watches.
>X1
cozy and almost quaint. Out of all the first trilogy movies this is the one I like the most. Really good introduction to the mutants and what they can do.
>X2
Good first half, but the last ~45 minutes drags like crazy. I didn't enjoy this as much as I probably did as a kid when I first saw it.
>X3
Not as bad as I remembered, but it still made very odd decisions story-wise, the worst one ofc being Cyclops' death.
Overall, the trilogy had a problem with shilling Wolverine like crazy and really sidelining Scott, and I say that as a non-fan of his. Xavier and Mags were ofc great as were some other characters (I actually liked Jean and I fucking despise comic Jean).
>First Class
Pretty good. I was thrown off by the style and it being a period piece, plus some wonky CGI, but I had a good time. Fassbender as Magneto instantly became my fave X-men portrayal of all time, he was amazing in the role.
>Days of Future Past
Amazing, best of the bunch. Good, tight plotting and while it did rely on having Wolverine back, he was arguably better written than in the original movies. Good action, didn't overstay its welcome. Not a perfect movie since, well, Mystique shilling, but definitely the best one.
>Apocalypse
Not very good. I'm torn if it's better or worse (or just about the same) as X3 since the latter has the benefit of more nostalgia. Not terrible, but could've been better. Sophie Turner as Jean was a mistake, she's a terrible actress.
Overall, Jennifer Lawrence took this series down a lot. Jackman, as much as he was shilled, at least never looked bored playing Logan. Lawrence constantly looked like she hated being on-set.
