Why do we as comic fans love shorthand and "streamlining" continuity so much?
Even though people complain about MCU being too normiefied there is some sort of weird autistic joy in reboots and adaptations that are like

And because of this, shit like EMH and 90s X-Men works well as a Marvel 101, the way the DCAU is like a DC 101
