>>130156836I'm a proto Hunter simp now. I really hope people make fanart of their interpretations of the various Hunters through the years, with all their differences in appearance and upbringing.
I mean, you have our Hunter, who's been puffed up by a life of glory and status, living in a golden castle and the most powerful force of a society as his underlings. His life was grueling but at least he felt highly about it.
But then you have victorian explosives Hunter and city burning assistant Hunter, who both seem to have a more subdued and unsure tones in their voices. They spend their lives following this bedraggled old man around, his only follower, never being allowed to make friends in the villages they visit, instead burning their homes and often killing them. The man's designs seem insane and fruitless, skulking around in shadows from place to place and tricking and killing everywhere they go. Belos said the previous ones were less obedient, and it's easy to see why.
I wonder how many times proto Hunters almost found their Emerald Entrails only to be forced to hurt them.
