>>130155110It was a cool comic. I liked most if not all of the Milestone stuff when it came out. it took chances, in the sense, that at the time like now mainstream DC and Marvel could be somewhat predictable. And a lot of Milestone was, not wild but an interesting take on heroes and their motivations. Icon specifically is obviously a Superman story right down to being an alien. But he chooses his form and lives through most of slavery and everything thing else and doesn't do shit to save mankind or blacks until Rocket confronts him about it. Now there are shit loads of what if Superman but different (mostly evil) but Superman but neutral or Superman but critical of the people he saves still doesn't get done. Later on Rocket gets pregnant, still not something that gets done a lot and I don't really remember it happening before. Imagine a Batgirl or Supergirl get pregnant arc, and it's not evil space baby or rape plot, just a teenager being impulsive and not thinking. The stories and characters were just "fresh" and the art pretty good.
