>>130156672If the bill was about "encouraging" I'd be for it, but it's really about discussion about sexual orientation. Parents don't know what's going on, so if a kid says "the teacher says being gay is okay" the parent won't know the context was telling kids to stop bullying the kids with two daddies. When the law says, among other reasonable things, that discussion of sexual orientation is prohibited, the door is open for for pearl clutching and/or spiteful parents to ruin a school district. Gay teachers have become more of a risk to the schools that employ them.
