If it doesn’t drag the show and makes it worse, then I can get invested in some good romance in a show. I liked the Thundercats reboot, but the love triangle between Lion-O, Cheetarah and Tygra was ASS. That shit nearly ruined the show for me. Same with Adventure Time. I got tired of them constantly switching love interest for Finn. It got boring and dumb with how forced they would get and even more forced when they broke up with him or didn’t return his feelings. If you’re gonna have romance, just be straight forward and do it. Don’t do dumb love triangles or will they won’t they bullshit. Just do it. Regular Show and The Owl House did it. RS did have some characters go back and forth, but it explored shitty break ups and such. It did it well plus Rigby’s relationship was genuinely wholesome and I liked the development his character had as a result. The Owl House just straight up had the Luz and Amity hook up and we see them just be a couple for the rest of the show. Like, do more like those two instead of dragging it out for the sake of forced drama.
