A true spider family should be a combination of spiders and non spiders with a general theme that nobody can shoulder extremely great responsibility forever, at least not alone. It should function as a support network for various younger heroes to get in contact and genuinely help each other without the oppressive bureaucratic feel if the Avengers or X-Men
Personally I think it would work best in a Spectacular ish cartoon in a world with more marvel heroes. With Peter forming it after recovering from his lowest point because he realized that there are a lot of younger heroes hitting rock bottom without any true support from the big names, and a lot of them are bottling up issues without anywhere to release them
