Steven universe pilot looked so fucking good, then the real thing looked like something that was not made for me so i never watched it

OK. KO pilot looked like a really cool cartoon that i would have loved as a kid, the real show looked like the kind of cartoon i would make if i had a small animation team and i loved it i watched all of it

I like how the SU pilot looks a lot actually. The final show is missing something.
On the other hand, I really kind of fucking hate the designs in the KO pilot and I'm glad they redesigned them for the actual show (which ended up being great)

I think they're both improvements. The only thing I dont like is how, as the show went on, Pearl's head became too circular instead of oval-shaped. I like how they had the whole cube/sphere/cone thing going on with the Crystal Gems, and it loses that a bit if they do that. I think the only thing I missed from the pilot were the swirly clouds and Steven having more normal proportions (but then they fixed thet when he got older). If you want the best of both worlds, look at Sugar's sketches.
