I do take some umbrage with your characterization of Bane. Chuck Dixon actually put a lot of thought and work into Bane's concept and how he related to Batman in a literary sense that simply gets overlooked in most of his uses. If anything I think your version of KGBeast could stand to lean into Babs and Bruce's interpersonal dynamics as a foundation for how they interact as adversaries.
