The division in question didn’t start up until 2012, they did the second Spongebob movie and Wonder Park. Like Warner Animation Group they’re more of a ”production company” than a studio like Pixar, Disney, Dreamworks, Sony, Blue Sky etc. because they outsource all the actual animation

From the article it seems like they’re open to her starring in other media, I wouldn’t rule out her getting a short or something: Not showing her face in the logo is probably intended to create intrigue, though the effect doesn’t really work when there’s nothing distinct about what you do see

They don't associate either of those labels with their animation studio anymore, early on they would put the Columbia logo in front of their animated movies but I'm pretty sure the last few have just had the plain blue text "Sony Pictures Animation" up front

I think they're trying to carve out a brand like the other studios all have, but I don't think it will work considering Paramount isn't a single cohesive unit and has no clear direction in their various projects

Can we discuss how incredibly awful the logo is? The font in "animation" clashes with the look of the rest of the logo so badly. It's like slapping a Comic Sans caption on a movie poster.

Just the animation studio but they own all the trademarks and it’s much more relevant and large than the studio proper (DW SKG) nowadays, back in the 90s SKG used to operate more independently and release movies by themselves but now they’re more of a co-production company that just shuffles money around, Animation has 2700 employees and SKG only has 80
