I guess I see what you mean. But for me at least, she was never engaging enough to really care too much about her. She was always put into this "Mrs.PerfectForMarco" spotlight and I never really saw her as anything beyond that.
Star on the other hand is the one that I sympathize greatly with. We see her fucking up constantly and then dealing with those consequences as she is now with Jarco.
She put herself into that situation as she did with almost all the problems she had. Reminds me a lot of me, that's why I'm so team Starco.
I just want to see things work out for Star. And again, I'm more than willing to accept Starco not happening provided there's a better reason for it than "Mrs.PerfectForMarco".
And at the same time, I'd honestly much rather see this whole ordeal dealt with properly than just booting Jackie in general.
I want to see her get developed more so that she's not JUST a plot device used to postpone an inevitable Starco provided Starco is inevitable.
Having a character that was just there to postpone the inevitable with no merits of their own is bad writing.
And I have a strong belief that Jackie isn't going to be just booted. I have more faith in Nefcy than that.
More then likely what's going to happen is that Starco will be postponed all the way till mid or end of S4. Which probably means more development for Jackie.
I don't want Starco to just sort of happen. I want it to happen, but not at the expense of other characters. Whether or not I sympathize with them is secondary.
Jackie's not a bad character and she definitely has potential. She's just not much at the moment. But if the show has any theme going for it it's that the status quo is not indefinite and that characters change.
