Essentially, all the shit that is nonessential to the mutant concept needs to be chucked out. No more dumb "my power is that I'm very wrinkly" mutants. No more retarded incestuous plotlines about the inner politics of the Xavier mansion. No more repetition of tired storylines that make the X-Men look like a weird in crowd dealing solely with their own problems.
The X-Men weren't always like this. They only really became like this in the last several years. Writers just cannot fucking comprehend that what they're doing is awful shit.
