Yes those are all great questions. At his heart Cyborg is just a former athlete who misses out on being able to play sports and compete with his peers. Because he's a beast of a robot he can't do that anymore.
Everything you mentioned would be an awesome story. Why doesn't Cyborg track down all the pedos and snuff film makers and traffickers on the internet? He could hack them all near instantly and send all the evidence to local law enforcement agencies.
Cyborg is one of the most powerful characters in DC, but no writer has ever utilized him to his full potential or brought any interesting ideas to him.
The George Perez/Wolfman run was the best portrayal of the character but unfortunately that was being written before the internet was the massive deal it is now. From what I read of Cyborg's rebirth book it was mostly just highschool relationship drama and alien sci fi shit.
A comic run that realistically tackles Cyborg on his own trying to fix the fucked up shit in the world with his hacking powers and knowledge of everything would be good. Unfortunately DC seems to see him as nothing but a B-lister diversity hire to make the Justice League have a black dude (they seemed to have given up on John Stewart's push awhile ago)
