Speaking of who Adam's final opponent ended up being, am I the only one kind of surprised at how... inconsequential Blake actually ended up being in the fight? Like despite having by far the most emotional investment, it felt like she was just there to set up Yang and Adam clashing again, which was the "true" fight.
Not that Yang didn't have her own stake in a fight with Adam, but think about it. Blake never got on Adam's level, and he died outright superior to her to the point where she had to bring in someone who IS on his level and defeat him in her stead. Instead Yang, who met him only once before (granted it was an impactful meeting), was the one to finally bring him to his knees.
It's kind of like when Scar was Wrath's final opponent in FMA: Brotherhood; yeah it kind of works, but I was expecting someone else.
