The most vocal complainers of diversity tend to be the ones who are just assmad that minorities and women exist. That said, a creative work shouldn't rely on diversity for its bottom line or as a creative crutch.
Also, I wouldn't mind more cute stories of bi characters coming to terms or understanding their sexuality better. I think /co/ media tends to ignore bi and trans people because it doesn't fit into the gay/straight mold that has been standard for years. The only time bi people are used are for hot scenes with same sex characters.
