>>115231230While I agree she was handled better than the rest, that's not saying much. Saying burnt toast is better than rotten food doesn't mean the food is exactly good. I feel a lot of that "tragedy" isn't even meant to be seen as that tragic given how the show just shoves off all her pain like its nothing, even going as far as killing her, reviving her, throwing her away and give her a rushed "happy" ending at the last second.
And while she went to some changes, it wasn't really a lot. For the entirety of SU she had one goal: destroy the crystal gems. Her wanting to hook up with Lapis again was a side quest she did, and once she failed that she went back to try and destroy them. And in Future, the whole point is that she hasn't moved on and refuses to change.
I feel like how she is at the end of Future, she's still not that great of a character because they never unlocked her full potential. She's better than everyone except Peridot, and wasnt ruined that much, but she was still pretty dissapointing.
