Honestly, I think Joseph has a better chance against more modern Batman incarnations than 60s West Batman. I think modern Batman would be easier for Joseph to read because he has more insecurities, and would also be more taken aback if somebody out-thought him for even a moment in a fight. Joseph, even when initially outsmarted, like against ACDC, is a master of finding the smallest crack in his opponent's plan and/or psyche and blowing it wide open by being a total smartass. On top of that, he's incredibly lucky, and might just happen to say something that sets Bruce off by accident.

60s Bats would turn Joseph's favorite trick around on him in a matter of minutes, say something witty to throw him off, and slap a Hamon-impairing Bat-Mask on him to fuck with his breathing, since he obviously knows all about Hamon. The less serious the Batman, the harder it would be for Joseph.
