>>130241538Offtopic and forgive me for my words but "soul" is always a funny word to me lmao. Anyways, I'm confident that Matt didn't change the show with regards to public perception, but rather hammered down on his self-indulgence which was first clearly seen in True Colors.
He wanted thai stuff so he did it. He wanted his mom to be a part of the show so he did it. He wanted to show that LA isn't just some 24-hour random chimp event so he did it.
The point is, these are all choices that Matt has made regardless of what the public asked of him, and thus, this also implies that all those wacky adventures in 3a were theirs and theirs alone. I can respect the way that he wanted to rep his culture and 3a gets a lot of shit but there are banger episodes too. Granted, these would be generally more accepted had the stakes been a lot less urge-inducing. And at this point in time, I can't really make a rebuttal on what 3a went for.
