It reminds me of a meme about trans people where someone asked why MTFs are more discussed than FTMs, and someone said “a downgrade is more shocking than an upgrade”.

Basically it’s a big part of the idea of guys becoming girls; that they’re becoming ‘lesser’ and getting humiliated.

Yea that’s another big reason behind autogynephilia.
There’s a “grass is greener” element where some guys feel like they’d be happier as cute animu girls. It almost seems to contrast the humiliation aspect and might just be an alternative reason, but they could go hand-in-hand.

I think I know why my brain is too broken for these threads. I don't see this as cringe. It's instead fascinated that a fetish like this exists at all, just as much as inflation or the 200 forms of tf.
