>>3503148Reminder that Genshin is a fujo game. Not a general audience or omnipandering game but genuinely 100% a fujo game and any non-fujo content are going to be scraps that are carefuly toned down and censored to not upset their main audience.
After you get introduced to the benchwarmer main cast the first story arc is about Venti, a rogueish Peter Pan archetype which becomes the focus of the story until the Liyue arc when it shifts into the Zhongli-Childe dynamic, both unashamed fujo pandering tropes you can find in any otome VN (wild aggressive young man with a soft spot only for you that is secretly really good with children - please want to be impregnated by him, older established man that is only challenged in his security and confidence by the young blood). This takes up the entirety of the main story until today and at no point is a female relevant beyond hiImKeqingbye hiImNinguangbye, female characters zooming by with the bare minimum of plot relevance so they don't upset the female playerbase.
Klee is an inoffensive child/mascot that women also love or at least aren't threatened by and her relevance to the story is nil. The next event is supposed to be about Fish and Mona but Fish just standed there awkwardly spouting some chuuni line or two instead of getting involved which killed half her fanbase then and there. Mona had a bit more involvement but mostly only to set up the new reveal, Scaramouche. The whole point was to reassure women that no, female characters aren't going to be relevant in the future and the plot about the Fatui and fake sky and so on will be safely male-centric too. Good for them. Finally we get Albedo, and the new area and story about ancient civilizations and dragons has to be woven around the eccentric soft spoken scientist that does have a bit of a wild side and a strong disdain for anyone not you, the special otome self insert.
