growing large amounts of food in very small spaces (you can just stack shelves of lettuce up under grow lights). Sort of dependent on lowering energy costs, increasing light efficiency, genetic modification to grow under lower light levels or a mixture of those things to be viable I think though.

The next agricultural revolution is when global warming renders 40% of the worlds farm lands unusable. I read somewhere that only 2 degree shift will make all farming in the tropical regions impossible. At this rate that should take only a few decades. Think about that, in three decades bananas and oranges will be extremely rare food. Our grand-kids will never see or taste these foods because they can't be grown anymore.

It's more likely that the banannas you buy at the store will be extinct. There's a fungus that literally wiped out the last common strain of banana, and the fruit we know now was a lucky mutation that was immune to the fungus. At least it used to be.

Robotic farming. Automating the farm will increase the yields as the robots can work 24 hours a day and can be updated instantly will all the best farming techniques.

Farming is transitioning from the least technical career to the most technical. Future farmers need to understand genetics, robotics, world trade and markets, horticulture... etc.

also gardening and food cultivation is one of the finest uses of time in general.

the law was written to increase x each year.
by 2022 70% of the corn crops will be used to make ethanol, if the law isn't overturned before then. hopefully the crooked democrats that did this will be removed from office soon.

I read a paper where they directly synthesised acetic acid using solar energy at a really efficient level
they used some sort of special solar panel they were looking to see if they could remove the need
much better than the sub 0.01% of fermentation
