How important is math if I want to work with theoretical physics or quantum mechanics?

I know some pricks will say that it's extremely important, but Einstein himself said his difficulties in math were bigger than almost everyone, he also used his wife to write the mathematical part of his theories and despite that he was still one of the greatest physics of all times, what do you have to say about that?
