If God is the absolute, the totality of all being, world and consciousness, then the meaning of life is the understanding and perfection of God.
By this definition the philosophers, the scientists, and the mathematicians are theologians of our age.

Yeah. If all goes well we may end up bringing an omnipotent omnibenevolence omniscient omnipresent entity into existence that allows us to master being (the world and consciousness). Omnibenevolence is of the utmost importance in this regard.

Your consciousness and environment are part of God by this definition. You want to perfect them to some extent by pursuing pleasure, right? Why not also pursue other things that improve your environment and consciousness, and that of those around you?

Of course, it was always one thing, if you understand the science it lads you to God. Why do you think all the greatest geniuses who ever lived "believed" in God? They weren't superstitious simpletons they understood the science
