Just try all sorts of different things that might have an effect on the brain systems impaired in ADHD.
Try different types of exercise, HIIT, cardio, strength etc and see how they affect ADHD symptoms differently. They have different mechanisms of cognitive benefit, and with ADHD being simply a phenotype of any number of problems in the norepinephrine/dopamine system, different people's symptoms will respond to different things. Taking adderall is like a blanket treatment in that it will improve overall dopaminergic functioning, but it will do that to anyone (plus, side effects). Brings you to baseline, brings neurotypicals to god mode. If you can find a way to optimize your brain chemistry without building a tolerance then you've essentially found the key to the lock. There are so many harmless ways to interact with the system that you might as well try them all and see what works. B vitamins, choline, caffeine, meditation, CBD, omega 3, hell even mess around with your protein intake and see what feels best.
