nobody said you were there to learn. you're there to stroke the ego cock of your prof and then get a ticket that says "ok maybe you can get a job"
basically an access pass to jobs.
it's like buying an admission ticket to see tits only to be able to now apply at certain facilities, that'll determine wether or not you're worthy of seeing tits.

I am the same OP.
What's really killing me is that lecturer starts writing a question in middle of the class and ask us to solve it. And he takes time to check every student and their answer (our class is usually small)
Every time I panic and want to kill myself.

The point of lecture isn't to learn the material but to hear what you've already learned being said again. The purpose of this is 1: repetition but also 2: you score about 2-7% higher on exams I you learn the material in the same place you take the exam

I failed a lot of maths classes for uni and thought that i was just bad at math or that i was lacking knowledge from previous classes(since you dont really need to study to pass a class in school)
But i decided this summer to do some maths lessons in a private school.
Turns out its so much easier to learn out of wonder instead of as a necessity for a test.
Honestly i enjoyed my lessons and passed with near perfect scores.
I think i'll go next summer even though i technically dont need to. I asked him if i could do topology with him next year if anyone has better suggestions please post.
My teacher even got me into exercising and i joined the martial arts gym he is in. Pretty cool desu.

What about people who have both adhd and autism like me?

I can't fucking follow a course, everytime I start thinking about something else.

I 've developped some habit to help me get concentrate on what the teacher is saying, but I feel like people think I'm a creep because I constantly fixate the teacher and and do some weird shit to get back to reality.

Lectures are a bad way of teaching if you got a bad lecturer. A lot of the lectures I had was just a guy reading up his slides. For one particular technical subject about statistics I had one mentally impaired teacher that thought it was great to make his explanation talk more complex and abstract than what was on the slides. I call him mentally impaired, impairment would be the only way I can describe someone who makes things more abstract explaining if you want to teach.

That sounds awesome. What kind of Math are you learning? Are you interested in a particular branch? I like Number Theory so I bought Burton's Elementary Number Theory and I'm very slowly plowing through it.

I haven't had attendance at all for most courses. Studying in Netherlands. During my Bsc only a few courses had attendance and it was usually the bad lecturers that enforced attendances. Lecturers who were just saying useless crap so they forced attendance to be mandatory because otherwise nobody would show up.

For my masters, you can skip everything except for a few project meetings and even then usually you can send someone else. Basically can do it without ever showing up at the uni.

No, I disagree. It doesn't matter how well someone explains something, I won't get it until I've read it or worked it out myself. Some get their panties in a knot when a lecturing is bad at explaining things. A good or bad explanation of something doesn't really do anything for me, its the board work that matters for me.

Prices depend on the country.
In my country greece school is so shit everyone sends their kid to some form of private schooling wether its private schooling or something else.
Thus the market is filled with that.
Also by 90 euros a month i mean 15 euros an hour. For the first month i did 1.5 hours a week but then decided to do 3 hours a week during August.

Now technically they dont do 1 on 1 lessons there , but it was summer which meant no sake highschool kid would go, and they were really only open for university students like me trying to cover the lessons they failed for september's exams.
Since there were so few of us (5-6 people) studying different things in mathematics we were of course seperated.

Most of my classes haven't had attendance too. I'm taking this Automata Theory class (roughly 25 students) and the professor takes attendance. However, I do agree that most useless classes enforce attendance as a way to compesate for their lack of utility. This reminds me of this Women Studies 101 I took, which didn't enforce attendance but was utter crap.

I took a Proof Workshop class and having never done proofs before, it really opened my eyes about Math and it was the class that got me interested in Set Theory and Number Theory. The class used Hammack's Book of Proof which the author released with a very permissive license. You might want to start from there.
