Everyone who studies CS has a subconscious fear that CS curriculum doesn't require going to college to learn so they're actually wasting their time at college. I've heard two separate CS students in two different countries, of two different races voice this concern.

Not everyone, but the shitty Cs majors you are correct.
The cs majors that are actually worth a damn go to college for the math, and the cs courses are a bonus
